The role of materials and their processing is becoming most predominant aspect in the view of nation’s growth. The innovation of materials, their application as a useful product is more significance in the present world. Due to scarcity of natural resources we need to think of alternates/ substitutes for continuous development. As the technology progresses, we are in the era of miniaturization and nano fabrication, the necessity of new materials are much arisen.
The role of manufacturing in the country’s economy and societal development has long been established through their wealth creation activities. To deepen and broaden our knowledge of materials and to increase innovation and responsiveness to ever-increasing international needs, more in-depth studies of functionally graded materials/ tailor-made materials are needed at present.
Today's products and their constituent components and structures have to meet increasingly stringent requirements during operation. The economic and human costs of failure during service impose a great responsibility on organisations and individuals who develop new materials and those who select and integrate materials in a final engineering processing. A critical feature of successful product development is the judicious selection of the best material or materials, based on an informed awareness of the capabilities and opportunities afforded by all candidate materials, coupled with manufacturing that takes full advantage of those capabilities.
The aim of International journal of Advanced Materials Manufacturing & Characterization (IJAMMC) is to promote a greater knowledge and understanding of the attributes and capabilities of all types of modern engineering materials in the context of engineering processing and characterization.
The objective of this journal is to bring together experts’ research ideas, advanced industry practices through various research organizations and professional engineers for sharing of knowledge, expertise and experience in the emerging trends related to advanced materials processing, manufacturing and characterization. And also make these ideas available to various academia and others to promote research in the country.
